The English Cocker Spaniel is an active, merry sporting dog. He is enthusiastic in his work, be it flushing a bird or looking for dirty socks. His tail is always wagging and the speed of the wag is an indication of his enjoyment of his current activity. English Cocker Spaniels are affectionate, cuddly and donít mind the lap dog life. They need moderate exercise, but with age like to lay around and keep the sofa warm. English cockers live to the ripe old age of 12-15. Some are agile, some are clumsy. Some are quick, others are slow. Some like to cuddle, others need their space. All are lovable!

I purchased my first English Cocker in 1980.
